Effect of Indole Butyric Acid and Zinc Sulphate in Different Media on Rooting of Olive Cuttings

Olive (Olea europaea L.) is an oil fruit crop with the physiological potential to survive and produce in rain-fed areas. In Pakistan, it grown upper Punjab Baluchistan due their climate suitability for better production. Due increasing trend of olive oil, peoples show more interest planting disease-free plants The successful nursery olives mainly depends on growth substrates rooting hormones like Indole butyric acid. A recent study was conducted observe influence growing substrate combination IBA zinc sulphate during vegetative stage two cultivars olive. Semi-hardwood cuttings were treated indole acid (IBA) at a level 3000 ppm 2000 cultured various types soil pots under plastic tunnel conditions completely randomized design three factors each treatment replicated thrice. Both varieties all treatments significantly affect traits. maximum number shoots recorded media that contain sugarcane press mud 3000ppm showed (5. 66), branches (6. shoot length (17. 01), roots 33), root diameter (0. 23), plant survival percentage (73. 66) (16. 86). contrast, minimum (1. 0), 00), (3. 77), 00) (44.
